in conversation with

Minouche Shafik, President of Columbia University in the City of New York

Welcome by:
Sarah Holloway, Program Director of M.S. Nonprofit Management at the School of Professional Studies; Faculty at the School of International and Public Affairs; Senior Fellow for Social Impact at Columbia Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Design

This event will explore how the hallmarks of entrepreneurship—a focus on problem-solving, innovation, and scalable growth—can be applied to the world’s greatest challenges. It will also address the ethical challenges that come with applying market-based solutions in the world’s poorest places and share inspiring stories that demonstrate the power impact investing and venture philanthropy have to take on social challenges. Columbia University students are invited to participate in a moderated question and answer session.
